Hi friends and family!

I have amazing news to share! Instead of continuing in my teaching career, I have decided to step out in faith and go on the World Race.

The World Race is a program through Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational nonprofit missions organization that focuses on discipleship, prayer, and the relationship between God and his people. Established in 1989, it has brought over 100,000 people to the mission field.  I am so honored to have been accepted into this program in order to bring the Word of the Lord and his love all around the world!

In August 2021, I will be leaving to travel to South Asia, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), and Ecuador. I will be gone for 11 months. Although each country, month, and week will look different, some of the things my team will be doing includes: evangelising, providing COVID-19 relief, ministering to refugees, and church planting.  I genuinely feel as if the Lord has called me to spend this year serving Him in radical ways, and I think the World Race will be that perfect opportunity. COVID-19 has impacted so many people not just here in the US, but world wide. I am excited to be a part of advancing the gospel and giving hope to the lost.

YOU have an opportunity to help me get there! There are two easy ways to become a part of this journey.

Financial support*:

I am asked to raise $18,700. My fundraising goal includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, medical coverage, and other necessities while abroad. I know that the God who called me to this is faithful to provide. I need to be funded by May 28, 2021. By supporting this mission, you are a part of God’s Kingdom work! Would you pray about partnering with me for $300, $500, or even $1,000 to help me reach my goal?

There are two ways you can financially donate:

  1. Via my blog. Not only does this act as a place for donations, but I will also be posting regularly about my journey — subscribe if you want to stay updated!

  2. By check. Please make all checks payable to Adventures in Missions. I have enclosed a fundraising card that must be filled out and sent with your check to the address listed on the card.

Prayer:

  1. For me and my team, that we would delight in our new community together, and grow together in the Lord. Pray that each of our gifts be used to bring Him glory. My team currently has 14 people.

  2. For the people we will encounter. That the Lord would prepare the hearts of the people we will encounter to hear and receive the truth of His word.

  3. For $18,700 in donations. While this May seem like a large number, it is not too big for God. All finances belong to him and he graciously shares with us. I am believing for God to work in big ways.

Thank you so much! I am beyond excited. If you want to talk, or have ANY questions, here are some ways to contact me:  shelbyrene22@yahoo.com or 432-813-0006.

With the love of Christ,

 Shelby Sager
